A decrease in notified felling in September

The latest statistics from the Swedish Forest Agency show that the area notified for felling in September decreased 6 percent, compared to September 2023. The area regarding applications for permits for final felling in montane forests increased 29 percent, compared to the same month last year.

Forecast: Lower felling in 2024

This year's felling in Swedish forests is expected to be 2 million cubic meters lower in comparison to 2023, according to a new forecast from the Swedish Forest Agency.
