Climate data
The climate is affected by landscape (Žemaitija Highland) and nearness of the Baltic Sea, 18 kilometres. The long-term annual precipitation 897 millimetres, and during growing season 642 millimetres; the mean annual temperature +5,4°C, the mean temperature in the growing season +16,7°C, the mean temperature in January -3,5°C. The long-term period of stable snow cover: 90 days. The mean annual wind speed 4-4,5 metres/second, in winter it is 1-1,2 metres/second more than in summer. The length of growing period: 202 days.
